A proud Shire local and devoted mum of four, Mariam has been part of Sensational Smiles Dental since the very beginning. She and Dr Michael founded the practice in 2010 with a shared vision: to create a dental experience that feels welcoming, personal, and truly Sensational! From those early days of setting up the first three-chair clinic to overseeing the growth into the beautiful, purpose practice it is today, Mariam has been there every step of the journey — guiding, growing, and leading with heart.
Mariam is known as the “brains behind the ideas” — the creative force who helps shape the patient experience, team culture, and overall vision of the practice. Her ability to turn ideas into action is what keeps Sensational Smiles evolving and innovating year after year. Whether it’s developing new systems to support the team or finding ways to make every patient interaction feel special, her attention to detail and passion for excellence shine through in everything she does.
Beyond management, Mariam has a deep love for coaching and mentoring. She’s passionate about helping each team member grow not just professionally, but personally — encouraging confidence, collaboration, and continual learning. She strongly believes that when the team thrives, patients feel it too.
Work–life balance is something Mariam champions daily. As a mother, leader, and lifelong learner, she knows how important it is to create an environment where everyone feels supported, valued, and inspired — both in and out of the clinic. Under her guidance, the Sensational Smiles team has built a culture grounded in trust, growth, and genuine care.
Reflecting on the journey so far, Mariam often says her greatest joy has been seeing how far the practice has come — from humble beginnings to becoming the Sutherland Shire’s leading boutique dental clinic.
